Ebru Şenol — Pediatrician Social Pediatrics

I am a pediatrician who adopts a holistic approach to the health of infants, children, and adolescents. Alongside preventive care, nutrition, growth and developmental monitoring, and family counseling, I provide up-to-date, evidence-based, and reliable medical care in the diagnosis and management of respiratory infections, febrile illnesses, allergic diseases, asthma, dermatological conditions, gastrointestinal problems, and chronic childhood disorders. My academic work focuses on breastfeeding, early childhood health, vaccination, and preterm care. My aim is to offer families compassionate, trustworthy, and scientifically grounded guidance throughout their child’s health journey.

I was born in Istanbul in 1984. After graduating at the top of my class from Istanbul Vatan Anatolian High School in 2002, I completed my medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, English Program.

I received my residency training in Pediatrics between 2009–2013 at Istanbul Süleymaniye Women’s and Children’s Research and Training Hospital. Following my specialization, I broadened my clinical experience working at Hatay Altınözü State Hospital, Marmara University, and Istanbul Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Research and Training Hospital.

In 2018, I realized my growing interest in Social Pediatrics, a field that approaches child health from a broader, community-focused perspective, and enrolled in the Social Pediatrics PhD Program at Istanbul University. I completed my doctoral thesis and graduated in 2023.

In addition, I received the Breastfeeding Counseling Certification from the Turkish Ministry of Health in 2019 and have been actively providing breastfeeding and lactation support since then.

Between 2021 and 2025, I lived in the United States. During this time, I had the opportunity to observe and work in various clinical settings while completing the equivalency process and earning the ECFMG certification, which grants the authority to practice medicine in the U.S.

As of 2025, I returned to Turkey and continue my professional journey at my private pediatric clinic in Ataşehir. I also continue my academic work as a part-time Assistant Professor at Üsküdar University.

Working with children, supporting parents, and bridging scientific knowledge with daily family life are among the most meaningful and fulfilling aspects of my profession.
